Our No-Lose 5-Year
Parts & Labor Service Contract
THE BEST 5-YEAR EXTENDED WARRANTY IN MAINE. PERIOD.
We call our 5-year Parts & Labor Extended Service Contract "no-lose" because unlike the extended warranties offered by our large competitors (which often cost more than twice as much), ours gives customers back their $149 in the form of an in-store credit for $149 toward their next purchase of $399 or more-if the contract is never used during the extended period of coverage. Service contracts on professional residential appliances cost $249 and return a $249 credit when unused at maturity. We also offer a non-refunded 2-Year Extended Service Contract that, with the manufacturer's one-year warranty, totals three years parts and labor coverage. This $99 service contract is not refundable at the end of the 3 year period even if no service calls were made on the covered appliance.
UNMATCHED BY ANY BOX STORE
In other words, if an appliance covered by our extended service contract does not require a service call within the specified time (the last four years-a service call made within the first year is covered by the manufacturer's warranty and does not impact our four-year extended service agreement), the $149 initially used to purchase the service contract effectively becomes a store credit towards your next purchase. At the home improvement centers and other box stores, no credit is extended at maturity if the warranty goes unused and that money is gone."Eight Cents a Day"
Amortized over the course of five years, the Agren Appliance extended service contract costs about 8 cents a day-a small sum compared to the peace of mind it brings if an appliance should break down or fail to perform as it should in its first five years of operation.OUR 5-YEAR, NO-LOSE PARTS & LABOR SERVICE CONTRACT IF YOU BUY AN EXTENDED SERVICE CONTRACT FOR $149 ON YOUR APPLIANCE PURCHASE AND NEVER USE IT At the end of the contract period we will give you a $149 CREDIT TOWARD YOUR NEXT PURCHASE OF $399 OR MORE AT ANY AGREN APPLIANCE STORE |
Our Appliance Service
MAINE'S LARGEST & BEST INDEPENDENT APPLIANCE SERVICE
Agren Appliance began its business in 1969 with a phone and two repair trucks. Today, we have six stores and the state's largest independent appliance repair team and fleet of trucks. Our technicians are factory-trained and together have over a century of experience in appliance repair. We take pride in the fact that "we'll show up when it counts"-that it is our repairmen who will come to people's homes and not a contracted service that may be hundreds of miles (and sometimes weeks) away, as is often the case with the 800 "service" provided by the box stores and home improvement centers.NUMBER 1 IN THE STATE
In a 2006 internet survey of sales and service dealers, a survey sponsored by one of the state's leading radio stations, Agren Appliance lead the list for providing service after the sale, cited by name by 48% of people responding, followed by Sears at 21% and Lowe's at 2%.Our Auburn store's Parts Department is our service hub, and the largest in the state.
ASK TO SEE THE TOOLBOX
We recommend to customers that before ordering appliances from anywhere, they ask to see the toolbox their repairmen will bring to their homes to cover warranty or other services (we tell them we have eight toolboxes, and that they're all on wheels made by General Motors).
ASK ABOUT THE EXTRA CHARGES
Then we encourage customers to ask about the cost of delivery and removal of old appliances, for installation of ice makers, or refrigerator and dryer door conversions.
